I had Zerex G-05 in the car when I took the car in. It is clear in color. As far as I knew, the G-05 was the same stuff as the MB coolant. I have never used any of the other "flavors" of Zerex, so I can't comment on their color.

I too was really surprised the ferrule did the trick, it was sort of a last resort kind of deal since I really needed to drive the car back to Stillwater today. Even though I am replacing all the lines while I am at it, I think I will throw a 3/16" compression coupler and my spare tubing cutter in the toolbox in case by some stroke of terrible fortune I ever break (or rub through) an injector line out on the road.
