PRB51, sorry to hear 'bout the leak. I guess that sometimes it's just the luck of the draw...

E300D – your car is barely broken-in.

Yes, it’s actually going to roll over to 338,000 this week, mostly all from freeway driving however. The head gasket finally let go & was leaking coolant externally. What is truly amazing is that the cylinder bores still had the factory cross-hatching still visible. And this was with the factory recommended oil change intervals of 7,500 miles for the first 324,000 miles. That’s what the original owner did – not me! (Although even with the extended oil change intervals the condition of the engine is astounding.) Amazing Machinery, these cars!
