...since it seems a "package" for the US market included an automatic, power windows and roof, somewhat better interior trim levels (such as a center armrest between the front seats, possibly air conditioning, PB, PS, etc. It seems that most later 240's are so equipped. I also have a manual '81 in addition to an auto '83. The manual has crank windows, no sunroof, but has ac, power brakes and steering, etc.

IMHO, my automatic 240 performs as well or better than the manual...acceleration isn't neck-snapping, but it will cruise at 80 all day without effort, while the stick starts to exhibit "unhappiness" over 70.
