Hood pad reprise

Glued the hood pad in my brother's 75 300D back up a couple nights ago, and checked it again tonight while adjusting the IP linkage to get full travel.

We glued it in a couple years ago when he painted the car, but used the wrong adhesive (probably 8060 instead of 8090). It has been drooping badly, and finally started to come out, a real pain since it's new and otherwise perfect.

A couple light coats over most of the area, wait a bit, stick it up, and it's held so far, in spite of being applied over what was on there. We didn't take it out nor did we clean the hood, just applied a small amount of fresh adhesive.

I think this means that if you put a hood pad in and it won't stay up you can simply apply the 3M super trim adhesive 8090 and you can fix it properly.
