Since we also had 4 days, I thought it might be a good time to introduce my 10 yr old daughter to US nuclear history. Checked the website at the Bradbury Science Museum in Los Alamos last week and they were open on Friday. Great. We could drive to NM on Wednesday, spend Thursday in Taos, and get an early start to Los Alamos on Friday and have a stimulating time learning nuclear physics and discussing the ethics of nuclear bombs. So, after having driven about 425 miles we arrived in Los Alamos only to learn that since we checked the web last week, they had changed their mind and the museum was closed! 850 miles round trip and nothing to show for it except for breakfast at Mcdonalds in Los Alamos.
