Thanks for all the replies everyone. I have decided since this car is owned by a friend of mine I'm going to make a deal with him. He'll remove the starter and I'll rebuild it if possible. That way if we can get the car started I can see the full extent of what else the vehicle may need and make a much better educated decision on what to do with it. And the idea of using it as a parts car also may be an option. Thanks again and this is a great forum!
