The problem is that there isn't anyone out there to buy these things. But I think it's a combination of things - the used car market is bad, the used Mercedes market is even worse, and the 140 market is a particularly weak segment of the Mercedes market. People are wising up to the service costs, or at least the risk of service costs, of these cars. Some people have had good luck, but you'll notice that most of them don't put on many miles. Here in Phoenix I wouldn't want to try to sell a 95 S600 for $15k. It's brutal out there.
