Hate to say it but my friend spent somewhere in the 6k to 8K bucks for the repair, they claim that the temp gauge or idiot light was not working and his wife basically drove it without coolant. I also think they installed a new wire harness at that time because it is very pliable for a car with 110k miles.
I will try to contact the dealer and ask for a copy of the invoice.
