Update: I finally found my CD/DVD drive this morning. Tried removing and rebooting the drivers, but it still didn't want to function. I then went to the Toshiba support site and checked service bulletins for my model. Had to go into the Registry Editor to remove the files for some third party CD editor software. Once I did that and removed/rebooted the drivers, everything showed up again! Proof that even a dip$h!t like me can investigate leads and follow directions.
