Insanity has set in...

I was having difficulty getting the go pedal to the floor this morning. It felt like there was something underneath it. I got to my destination, gave it a look, and discovered that there was a rubber pedal block, or pad, made to fit over the real pedal. I removed it and set it aside.

Is this supposed to be here, or was the PO vertically challenged, or what?
