Actually, it was a little more than halfway, and it didn't go away until I retreived the slip-on pedal cover from under the accelerator pedal.
I don't even know what to call this thing. Some ideas have been pedal block; pedal lift; accelerator condom
It is hard to believe that MB engineers designed this thing, it came off and interfered with vehicle operation far too easily...
