What I do is flush with regular water then take one or two gallons of distilled water and pour it through. Then I close the engine bleeder and start installing the 50/50 mix. The next time it gets changed I dont use tap water I just drain then pour two gallons of distilled through to flush and then fill again.

Distilled water is so cheep you cant go wrong.
