First thing to note is that many of the tires in the tire industry have updated models that replace their older siblings, some of the new Bridestones are much different then the older ones.

Also what type of driving do you do. Mainly highway touring, or High-Performance handling and wet/dry traction.

My recommendations:

$111 (TireRack) If you want a highway touring tire, the Yokohama AVid H4s for you. They offer decent handling, and a smooth ride, come with a 45,000 miles warranty and ar H-rated (130 mph.)

$119 (TireRack) The BFGoodrich g-force T/A KDWS offers high-performance, great wet traction (an "AA" rating, and 400 UTOG treadwear) as well as a nice ride (from other's opinions.) And still handles All-Season capabilities if need be (wouldn't count on the all-season traction too much, less then 1" of snow is what all-season means in this category.)

$139 (TireRack) The Bridgestone Potenza RE730 are a new Ultra-High Performance Tire that has great wet traction (AA rating again) and offer a UTOG Treadwear of about 300 (pretty high for a performance tire.) These are a lil noisey compared to some of the other tires, however porbably not as bad as the old Bridgestone RE71s.

$175 (TireRack) The Dunlop SP Sport 9000 are OEM choices on many MBs, and offer incredible wet traction as well as dry performance. Incredibly quiet for a tire in this class and best some other tires overall. Nice ride qualities, and decent wear for a tire in this class.

In my opinion, All-Season tires will always ride nicer then Summer tires. So try the BFGoodrich. They seem to have a nice review. And put the extra $$ in your pocket as well.
