Based on comments by MBDoc in various posts here, my take on this ign. component issue is that Beru is the way to go with an MB.
I've been able to locate Beru wires at various web sellers, but never dist. cap and rotor. I located a Beru wire seller in San Diego.

Spoke with a Warren Kingsborne over the phone. He told me that in addition to the Beru wires/connectors, he can also get Beru dist. caps & rotor. I'm waiting to hear back from him on price.
I went to the local MB dealer the other day and their new wire set, complete with wire and end connectors was right at $190.00 + tax. These were Bosch wires.
I'll wait to hear about the Beru parts from Kingsborne.
