I have not replaced them but i did unbolt one when i was changing out the bump stops. It was as straight forward as it looks. No need to remove the struts either, just have a friend compress the piston, its a bit tough, but I was able to do it and I would put myself at below average as far as arm strength is concerned. Once the piston is compressed the mount will fall down through the wheel well. Dont forget to put a little loctite on the nuts and I believe the torque value was 20 nm.
