My engine cranks over plenty fast at 0 degrees with Mobil 1 15w-50 in the sump.
I grew up on a 235 Chevy Thriftmaster 6 cylinder and use straight weight oils , mostly Havoline 30 Weight. I guess I just don't likek change.. that's why I bought a Benz.
Remember the good ole days of puncturing your metal oil can and putting in a filler spout to add oil? Straight weight rulz!...
The reason I brought up the subject is that I ran into a guy that had 2 cases for his VW Vanagon diesel and hw woould not tell me where he got it... He called it Liquid Gold!... I'll go 15-40 w.. I was just curious.
