The R107 SL was the longest running model in recent history! (1972-1989 here in the USA)
Designed in the 60's it shared suspension with the W114/115 chassis. OTHER than that very few parts were shared! According to "MB" they didn't break even on that chassis until 1984!!!!

I never really liked driving the car as I am too tall to be comfortable unless the top was down! BUT they were a very good car & still can get the job done!
