I've found a guy that will sell a running/driving 300 turbo 123 style (not sure on the year cause my friend lives by the guy and asked him about it) that has 271k for 800 bucks. The body is pretty rough. I wanted to swap the 5banger turbo into my car. With both cars, I would essentially have everything I'd need to do this swap correct? I know people always say "if you're asking these questions you shouldn't be doing it" and yeah probably I shouldn't but summers coming up and I want to cruise in style and with an extra cylinder, a turbo and the gears out of the 300 I should be able to have some nice road trips. I've done some pretty simple engine swaps, and from what you guys are saying this isn't a very complicated one. Anyway, I'm searching and came up on this old topic, and just wanted to know what major hang ups people run into. I'm more wondering if you think 800ish bucks is a good deal for what I've been told is a car that runs and drives well, and if I could make some back selling random parts off the car? Thanks.
