1986 190e 2.3 V rear hydro-shocks replacement help needed
I have my 190e 2.3 16V up on stands right now to replace the parking brake shoes and hardware, and also want to change the rear self-leveling shocks.
With the car up off its wheels, should I be able to simply unbolt the banjo (I assume some oil will leak out, but not under pressure because the suspension is extended) and change the shock out like any other shock?
I've read elsewhere that they are self bleeding once installed by having a bunch of people in the car while driving around - true?
I'm going to change the filter for the system as well, should I replace the oil as well? What oil do I use, and what's the procedure for that?
Thanks in advance!
