Correction
After reading my post again, I have a correction.
2nd to 3rd is where the over-rev is occuring and it does seem to settle a bit when warned up. I also have noticed that the trans. seems to almost skip through 2nd going to 3rd at times, when cold. I have done a bit of research on this site and it seems it may be a certain valve body spring going bad. Would this spring account for the cold hard shifting or could that be a different problem.
