Hi.
THE CAR: 1985 190D 5spd 159k
For some odd reason the A/C is hard to turn off in the car. I can turn the fan off but I still feel really cold air coming a few minutes after I have shut the thing off. I went under the hood and all the A/C lines were frozen, meaning that the A/C has been running.
I am not an A/C expert so I am inquiring the GODS of this forum. While the engine was on I looked at the A/C pulley (i think that's what it is) and notied that only the pulley with the groves was spinning while the front of the pulley was hesitant and only moved a millimeter clockwise and then counterclock wise (it just basically sat in one spot). I have posted a pic of what spins and what doesn't...... Can the A/C be seized ? It does work and it is very cold but it seems to be on when I turn it off.
What do you guys think about the pulley ?
Thanks again and here is the pic.
