this is typical

The year 2000 marked a severe reliability dip in the e-class especially. Consumer Reports this year said that model has reported some of the highest problem rates than most cars including japanese and american models.

My mother in law bought a 99 e-class, had to replaced struts at 30,000 miles, a whole window unit, o2 sensors. it just didn't seem right. I thought she was being taken for a ride, but apparantly more of these stories are popping up.

I was planning on upgrading to a more modern benz, but i have changed my mind. nothing past 96.

However, the audi's have an excellent relaibility rating. so perhaps next will be a 2000+ audi.
