I think the key word here is TIME SPENT--------My first Golden was the most destructive dog I ever saw and she was an outside dog--as a result of an accident she spent a lot of time with me during recuperation during which time I came to understand the breed which has this huge need to be with people-------My present Lab and Golden are both inside girls and even go to work with me -they just couldn't be more gentile,obedient,and wonderful companions--great riders and never destructive most of these characteristics I think are their real nature which can be seen due to their having so much attention that they crave----------sorry for the dissertation but I really think Labs and Goldens are miunderstood
