On Friday I had a shop service the AC in my 84 300D. The charge was low and when they topped it off the compressor sounded like a blender with lug nuts in it. So apparently I need a compressor, drier and expansion valve. The shop doesn't like working on MB's. They sucked out all the refrigerant for me so I can hopefully do the work myself and then take it to them to have it charged. I called ACKits.com and asked for a price on the parts. They informed me that they only have the evap core for my car, no other parts. WTF? Many, many AC posts mention parts, compressors, etc. from ACKits so how is this possible. Maybe since I called on Friday afternoon? Any other sources for AC parts online that I should consider? Thanks, RT
