That's what I get for thinking before coffee.
Millitary stuff runs on 24 volt systems, and sometimes makes it into the civillian market. I never considered valves.

Still, I'd go with the correct injectors for the vehicle. I once had a small truck (Toyota or Nissan...can't recall) towed in from another shop. They'd installed a used engine, and it'd run for a few minutes and die. When trying to restart, they found that the fuel injectors wern't firing. This was traced to the ECM. They'd smoked two ECMs the same way when they gave up and dragged it to me.

After a long time looking at wiring diagrams and scratching my head, I discovered that they had not installed any of the fuel injectors from the old engine, but had used the ones that came with the new (used) motor. In one year, the specification for the injectors was 13 ohms each, while in another year, the specification was 6 ohms each, with a dropping resistor in the wiring harness. Unless I was certain that there'd be no harm, I'd never use the wrong injectors.
