Aren't there o-rings between the EHA and the fuel distributor? I recall replacing my EHA on my 560SL and replacing some o-rings too.

I assume you replaced those when you put in the new EHA but even so is it possible they are the source of the leak? Have you checked that out?

When I was having similar warm start problems with my car I tried the EHA replacement first but that was not the problem. It turned out that the solution was the replacement of the 8 injectors, injector seals and the rubber air piping which feeds from the idle control valve on back all the way to the intake at each injector. Once I replaced all of those parts my car started perfectly hot and cold and idles absolutely like new again...well worth the time and money.

I had at least one injector leaking down that was causing the warm start problems and elected to just replace all of them as they were all original with over 100K on them. Air leaks in the piping was causing fast idle above what the ICV could control (750-800 RPM). Now it idles at 550 to 600 and is smooth as silk at idle and through the entire operating range. The difference is dramatic.
