IF your model has a 'monovalve' in the heater water circuit, it may be faulty. 12V is applied to this valve to CLOSE it, and if the ACC does not send 12V, OR the connection breaks, OR the diaphragm rutures, hot water will circulate through the heater core, giving this symptom.
