Hi Iwould first make sure the cylinder up is in the firing position,with the air in the cyl rap down on the top of the valve this will unseat the keeper and you will find it easier to remove,just do not hit it to the point were the keeper goes out just enough to loosen it,remember its been in there for a while.joeym
