Yes B2 is relatively easy to remove, however, you may not find something easy to repair once you do. I just removed mine from a '81 300D 722.118 transmission only to find there was a groove worn in the cylinder wall. See the following thread and pictures:

By the way, I found it necessary to remove the rear transmission mount and lower the transmission about 2" in order to get the B2 servo clear of the body for removal. I also removed the valve body in order to inspect and adjust the band free play (by inserting new, longer pins).
