Yes B2 is relatively easy to remove, however, you may not find something easy to repair once you do. I just removed mine from a '81 300D 722.118 transmission only to find there was a groove worn in the cylinder wall. See the following thread and pictures:

thanks, i have been reading your thread over the past few days and it inspired me to look at my own b2 piston. although if i have to go farther than a b2 piston then i will just order a rebuilt one from sun valley and have MB of bowlinggreen install it.
