How do I access the speaker fader switch?

Hi All... I have figured out that I am loosing the right channel of the stereo in my 88 560SEL because the Fader wheel in the center wood console is faulty. The only problem is that I can't figure out how to get at the fader. This same wood console houses the window rocker switches as well. Anyone know how to lift the wood console to access all those switches? Help?
