Antenna for E320 wagon
Going through a car wash, the rubber exterior of the antenna was torn off and lost, although the antenna itself is in tack and functioning normally. The MB dealer wants $533.00 for a new antenna, and that doesn't include labor for installation. Is there an alternative and is it difficult for someone with medium mechanical aptitude to replace?

The rubber fender-grommet on the 124 is cheap and available.

There are some sellers on eBay that sell a replacement for the rubber plastic nubbin thing for about $30, although I'm not entirely sure how you'd get it to stay on the antenna.
Mine came off in a car wash too, although I haven't gotten around to replacing it. If I remember, the antenna is for the Teleaid system, while the radio antenna is built into either the bumper or the rear glass. |

I have the part number for the TE one.
I will look for it.
