1986 560SEC headunit
I have this posted in tech help also... Im putting a headunit in my 86 126c and have isolated the positive wires for the speakers from the fader. Now I need to know where the ground bundles are. I should be able to split them and use a battery to verify which grounds go with which speakers. Many said I needed to run new speaker wires through the whole car, but I did the headunit in a 123 last year and it was cake. All I need are the common ground locations. Any assistance, please!

I'm not familiar with the 560 stereo setup, so I couldn't tell you were the speaker interface resides. I have always bypassed the fader altogether as it was too troublesome to deal with, combined with the strange impedences (as most head units have a fader anyway.
You head unit should have a power antenna lead supplied with the harness. Not sure about the alarm wiring. In my past experience, I left it alone.

Dunno if the remote amp feed from my new radio is fried or what, but I had to wire the antenna into the "key-on" circuit and just leave the antenna switch in the "down/off" position for startup, raising it when I need reception. Still dont know my best play for the radio alarm wiring. Can I just leave it unattached, is that an option?
