Question No Left Side -- 92 190E

Both driver's side speakers in my 92 190e quit. The front one died a slow death and, for a while, could be brought back to life by quickly turning the volume up. Once it was completely dead, the rear one quickly followed.

This is the original factory set-up. Here's what I've done so far:

- Swapped the left and right radio outputs. Still nothing. Ruled out the radio.

- Replaced the amp with an identical factory model. Still nothing. Ruled out the amp.

- Pulled the in-console fader and by-passed it by touching the wires directly together. Still nothing. Ruled out the fader.

What are the odds that both speakers are dead? Is there a common ground wire or something? Does anyone have a wiring diagram for this thing? I have the one from the CD-ROM, but the amp isn't even shown, making it impossible to figure out what's going on. I just want my left side back.

Any help is much appreciated.
