Scott, one more 190 Question?
I have read in a previous post where you said to take the 2 output wires that originally came off the back of the stock radio, and run those to the front speaker wires and then connect all of those to the new unit's LF and RF outputs - am I getting this correct? This is to run the dash & door speakers I believe...
My question is, the negative wire on the wires that originally came off the outputs of my stock radio pop my REAR speakers when I 9Volt them against the positive leads of the REARS which I tapped into after clipping them off the fader. Is this correct? Do I still wire it to the negative wire on the front speaker even though it seems to be hitting the the negative terminal on the rear? Also, where do I splice into the negative wires going to the rear speakers - this is what's really confusing me since I can only find the positve wire at the fader, and don't know where to isolate the negative leads on the rear spaekers. Am I really confused or way off base - or am I on the proper path???? Thanks alot, Todd

You need to keep cutting back the black vinyl tubing on the fader harness till you find where the negatives splice together. Then isolate them and wire as I said before.

OK - I found them after digging down in there a littler deeper. Everything is wired up now and all 6 are speakers working as planned. Thanks for all your help and info for us hacks!
Even though everything seems to be functioning perfectly well, my new HU seems to get quite hot on one side (where the power amp is I suppose) after cranking it up for a while. I tested all my speaker leads and found no common grounds and all my impedances across the speaker outs at my harness read 4 ohms, so I am working on the assumption that this is its normal operating temp, and that once I get the car moving it will vent a little better and not bake on me.... Thanks again!! Todd
