Hello there,
I recently bought myself a used 1985 190E 2.3 Red, Apparently the previous owner uses armorall on the body paint. Now my hood is all spotty white... do i need to rub it with cleaner wax from mequiar's or use a rubbing compound??? I am still leaving it untouched, since i want to double check with you guys around here .... i hope its not going to be a paint job last option .... Thanks in advance, Jhaycee ![]() |

I would try 3M Imperial hand glaze, which is first rate. If that doesn't work, clay (with liberal use of detailing spray), followed by a good coat of wax. Since your car is 17 years old, it is also possible that the spots are not directly attributable to Armorall but to other lack of car as well. The 3M product cannot harm your finish, so its worth a try. If you can't find it easily, Pep Boys carries it.
