Injector timing on 300SD
I was trying out an ADL injection tester I acquired last year on my '85 300SD. At idle, the unit read ~630 rpm and start of injection was ~23.5 degrees.
What are the specs for this engine?

Using the 'wet' methods I believe spec is 24 BTDC, +/- 1.0. Using the RIV (IP tool) methods it would be 15 ATDC. Sounds like your new toy is neat. It's the kind that clips on to an injector line, right?

Yes, it has a transducer that clamps around the injector line. The transducer is for a 5.5 mm line, which is on the 300SD and thus will not fit on the 4.5 mm line on the 190D I really needed it for at the time.

I think I got it off eBay for ~$325 plus shipping. I have no idea how much the transducers are.
