Bought this car for my manual transmission conversion.....

Hey.

I am buying this car for my manual transmission conversion. Since my 240D is an automatic and it has been stored in a garage all its life it is basically brand new looking. It will take me forever to find another one like mine. I found this car which will make a perfect donor car, I just have to drive it from Minnesota to New Jersey. I'm flying out there on November 7th. Deposit will be sent out tomorrow so I hope the deal does fall through.

Tell you a bit about the car. It has been owned by one person since new and he has all the maintenence records. The car does have rust from being in Minnesota. 168k on the car as well. It is also the same year as my car; 1983. I don't think I overpaid for this since I'm only buying it for 700 bucks.
Engine looks nice and clean as you can see for yourself.

Once I get this car I am only concerned with retrieving the tranny and all the components that I will be needing for this conversion, including the driveshaft.
I have never attempted such a feat but since I have all you wonderful gentlemen to help me through this forum, it should be a breeze.
Oh yeh, I made up my mind to go ahead with this so PLEASE PLEASE do not tell me that it's very hard, stupid, or time consuming to do this.

I will be parting the car as well so maybe I can make some of my money back on e-bay.

Hmmmmm...... if someone comes over and helps me I will give you the entire engine !!!
