He does-but not like the one that got away. SOme fellow from NYC bought it sight unseen and had a car hauler take to NYC. The one that got away.

If it really is an '85 240D it has to be a Euro car.

Correct. '83 was the last model for the US spec 240D.

It amazed me this guy didn't eBay this one--I beleive it could have easily brought $3200 considering that one sold today on eBay(a 300D-4 spd.) that had a super dirty interior--looked him he was hauling Hog Slop in the back seat and it closed and sold at $2420. The owner said he does't like the hassle of eBay-for $2000 bucks more in my pocket-I will take the Hassle any day-all day! The paint was all original wxcept for the Hubcaps that he had professionally repainted.

Meant to ask the owner about that-83 last year for the US 240D but in my disappointment forgot all about it!
