Euro W124 300D 5-Speed on eBay

Interesting car, but I think I've seen it on eBay before...

If I was in the market for another MB diesel, i'd be all over that car, or one like it. I like the color combination and the 5-speed. I don't really think I could take a car like that off road, so it won't meet my current needs of wanting a 4x4...

Love it...........but no longer in the market. Price is good.....but from what I have learned it might be too good. $4k on a 124 diesel buy it now...with under 200,000 miles...must be something wrong.

No that is a 603, count the cylinders their is 6.

That is a cool car and from the pics it looks pretty clean to. I would take a look at it if I were in the market.

Ping Turbodiesel! John it is a manual with a 603 someone shoot him an email this is something he might like.

Hmm the intake of that 603 is sucking air in just about the right spot for an intercooler to feed back in. I bet you could bolt that manifold onto a turbo 603 and run an intercooler. This I will remember...

Heh heh, you're not the only one who thought of that. Our Finnish friends did exactly that - check out the neat red 190D here:

I would love to install a 5 speed in a 93 2.5 turbo. Does anyone know of someone who has done this?

He's busy enjoying his new all wheel drive Audi. It's quite a ride.

Audi makes a nice car, my Uncle just traded his 00 A6 in on a G35 sedan. The G35 is one heck of a nice package.

So our Finnish friends already did that! Good then I know it will work. Down the road I want an intercooler. But I don't want to buy the kit for $2k. I want an intercooler for $1k or less.

Looking thru the history on that car I see the seller bought it just last month, I wonder why he is selling so soon?

This isn't the first time that I'm seeing a car being sold right after a timing chain replacement. I wonder what it is that happened during or after the replacement or if it was simply attempted as a fix for something and the fix failed. Timing chain replacement is useless unless the chain is significantly stretched and I've read that if the master link isn't installed correctly the new chain is likely to break. So when buying a car I usually prefer if the timing chain hasn't been touched.

One good thing about the car, no trap oxidizer or whatever you call it.

Wish it were a turbo

Man, if this thing had a Turbo, I'd take it. How much loss of HP do you lose without the turbo?

I'm guessing that the n/a 603 would put out about 125 hp, about the same as the 617 with a turbo.

You are right, I did not see the #6 hidden behind the heater pipes.
