How do I remove the shifter knob w115
I am changing the interior on my 76 240d auto floor shift w115 body.
I have the both pieces of the console out and touched up but I needed to remove the shifter knob so I can change the color on the shift indicater piece. It appears that I can remove a jam nut and unscrew the entire knob and lever but I wanted to ask before forcing anything. Anybody familiar with this?
