That's s*****. But I guess the old one lasted more than 20 years, so I don't need to be in a hurry to yank the new one out and replace it with the redesigned part.

Skinned,

FYI: Loosening the fuel line nuts on the injectors will not bleed the fuel system. The fuel has into get to the IP before it will be pumped to the injectors.


See what happens when you fix something that isn't broken (fuel filters).

Bio diesel and **************

If the folks at mercedes source don't recommend the new style hand primer pump with bio-diesel then they likely have a good reason , They have a couple of 123s runing on veggie oil and with pretty slick setups for it as well . The people at mercedes source are straight shooters and I highly doubt they would steer someone wrong just to sell them an old style pump .

If the old one is leaking when you pump it then under load its going to suck air and reduce power.....

Now if its doesn't leak then why worry...most will leak however at this age.
