Injector Diagram and parts table from Germany
Thought this might help someone although it does not seem to include info for the w126. The table has part numbers and pics of injector breakdown are informative even though this is a German site.

Nice write-up!
Injector pumps and injectors are some of the most remarkable pieces of mechnical engineering. For example, during the lifespan of an injector it will perform, operating under high temperature and pressure, almost flawlessly for over one billion cycles!!!
