Can't Get to the Locknut to Adjust Idle...

i need to bump up my idle a little bit (it's ~600); i did a search & know where the adjustment screw is and everything BUT my long socket isn't long enough to get onto the locknut to loosen it, and there's just no getting a wrench down there...
any ideas?

Crowfoot wrench on a 12" extension. I think it takes 14mm, I just ended up buying the assorted metric kit from Sears. Harbor Freight also has one, and probably everyone else.

I used a standard 1/4" drive 14mm Crapsman deep socket to get mine loose. No problems encountered.

I broke mine off and then epoxied it back since I have a very strict policy of breaking at least one thing for every thing I fix.

How in the world did you break the bolt? I would think that would be literally impossible. All it has is a lock nut at the bottom and a screw driver slot in the top of the bolt.
