1983 240D Dash Vent
I noticed today testing AC that it worked and my right hand side vent is dead. All the others work ok. Any suggestions on where to look for the problem? Can the vent be accessed and checked without removing the dash cover?

Assuming that the vent is not closed, checking the ducts for proper attachment would be a good idea. You can see the duct if you remove the lower dash panel.

maybe I asking a dumb question here but did you rotate the vent collar to see if it was open?

dash vent
Wow! I should have looked a bit harder earlier. I tried turning the vent from drivers side it didn't help. After reading post about vent possibly closed I had another look. I turned it and swoosh air is coming out. I do appreciate the advise it was great, and one of my easier details to resolve.

Isn't it great that it was only something very simple. Glad that it saved you lots of wasted time. Now you can find something else to fix.
