What to keep in your glove box.

Just a heads up for those with 4/5 speeds standards. Keep a few shift rod locking clips in your glove box. Was pulling out of the laundramat last Sat. and no shifty/no goey. Looked under the car and there hung an unconnected shift rod. Luckily a hardware store was a block away so I went and got some locking c clips to get me home. The original is the same clip used for the autobox shift cable I've been told. I've driven this car every day for over two years now and this is my first brake down. I'm almost embarrassed to drive such an unreliable car.

A few shift rod locking clips are a good idea.

GET OUT OF MY WAY!!!

I keep a metric socket set in the trunk which also holds a screwdriver setup and some other goodies.
You can never go wrong with a multi-tool plier or something of the sort.

more goodies, glove box and trunk

Gloves!!! but now that winter is over, I might remove them....fuses....flashlight......BTW, I keep a 4-way wrench in the trunk, I don't want to rely on the factory lug wrench just in case, oh, and I keep a rubber pad to set the jack (factory) on too, and two wheel chocks (sp?) too.

I keep a spare house key in mine. If I lock myself out, there it is. But when I'm away from home, no crook can find it.

I don't have a glove box- according to the manual I have a 'centre oddments box'.
Inside- (when parked) GPS speed camera detector, radio faceplate (too lazy/stupid to bring it in) Flat & Phillips head screwdrivers, napkins, utility knife, multi-plier tool thingy, sunglasses. No gun I'm afraid.

Got a bunch of receipts, a couple of 'ralph nader for president of outer space' bumper stickers, a crappy flashlight, an extra vac pump main check valve, the remote for my radio. No firearms allowed in my vehicle. Guns in cars always lead to trouble. I support the 2nd amendment, but on behalf of others not myself as I don't care much for guns. My two fists are plenty good enough.
