This is a Trap Oxidizer - includes free MB removal

Caught this while surfing...............

You might even get a free turbo with the job.

300SDL w/ Trap Ox.

You may get a new turbo and a completely new exhaust system, but the fact that the trap is there doesn't speak too well of the car's service history. If the car EVER saw a mechanic that was familiar with MB diesels, wouldn't he/she have referred the owner to the dealer to get the trap removed?

Speedy,

If my SDL had a trap oxidizer, I would wait as long as possible to get it replaced. That way the repacement exhaust system and turbo, if replaced, would last longer.

You might even get a new engine if you'd wait long enough.

I had this done to my 85 300sd, new turbo and all, but i dint get a new exhaust system, only problem is that i have no power now.
Before i could hear the turbo spool up and feel it, now i cant hear it or feel it. I guess its cause my old trap disingetraged and had no restriction and the new o2 catylist creates a lot of restriction. oh well got a free turbo.

I got rid of mine altogether and swapped in fed version manifolds and turbo. The PO got TO replacement with turbo on my car. I didn't want all that crap in my car anyway.
