Fan speed increases with accceleration, is that normal..
Well my AC is working again...no clue why it failed earlier, but it's not the evaporator.
I noticed when I got in the car the fan speed was very low. As I started driving the car, the fan sped started to increase. I haven't check the voltage system or anything yet, but I'm guessing that the voltage regulator is going bad. Or is the normal... Jason |

If the voltage regulator is going bad, there should be noise comming over the radio getting high pitch as the RPMs go up.

So...
It is normal for the fan speed to change as you accelerate???

Yes, mine does as well, right in tune with my voltage gauge. Idle = about 12.9-13 volts....then when I hit the pedal it jumps to 14volts and the fan speed goes up a little bit (lights get brighter etc...) so its normal...so long as you have over 12.8 volts at idle and above 13.6 above around 1500rpm.
