123 Tachometer
The tachometer in my '83 300D does not work. I pulled apart my instrument cluster earlier this week (and will have to dismantle it again this weekend) and figure that I should try to fix the tachometer while I am at it. Has anyone had any experience with fixing a broken one? Is it a common problem to have it not function? Is it easy to fix?

Don't tighten the amp too much or you'll break the circuit board (don't ask). And, repeat the Mercedesshop mantra: Did I use the search feature?
