Swearing is the linguistic crutch of an inarticulate SOB.

Barking out a curse word when the wrench slips off and you bash your knuckles is one thing. Deliberately typing and posting such words to be read by an unknown audience is another.

"c--p," or "crap" usually suffices fo me.

oh

i think my son watches that. i think i may have once with him. i think i enjoyed it (can't remember for sure).

by the way, i hope you all dont think that i am an ignorant fool 'cause i don't capitalize everything. i know you are supposed to at the beginning of sentances and sometimes other times too, but it seems like a lot of extra work, and besides i think you all know it too.

Implied cursing IS necessary

The moderators won't let us get away with real cursing.

Gee, doesn't that sound nice? It is a hollow load of hoooy, but it sounds nice. I think you had another hollow remark earlier in the thread, but I don't know how to quote multiple threads into one. (nothing personal, although I acknowledge it seems that way) sorry.....
Things that annoy us, or things that we prefer not to hear or read is simply our personal preference. It wasn't an attempt I don't believe to "control" anyone. And the pedestal comment was odd.
For my fellow Bible thumpers try James 1:26 for some perspective.
Having said all that, I do still love a good hockey fight!!
Do you think they ever swear???
